This is because birth care in the Netherlands is very different from that in many other countries, therefore it is important to be well informed.

Pregnancy is a special and vulnerable period, and at Birth Advice we believe it is essential to support the future parents and give them the right tools. We help you find your way in the Dutch healthcare system and face your pregnancy, birth and maternity period with confidence. The course is offered in English, Spanish and Dutch so that we can reach a wide audience.

The course consists of two parts:

Part 1: Information at the beginning of pregnancy, healthcare providers and the regular issues that need to be organized.

Part 2: Information about childbirth and the postpartum period, so that you are well prepared for the arrival of your baby.
